We were 4 adults & 2 kids at the stay. Stayed here for 2 nights. The food was local, home cooked & tasty, we got to try some local vegetables that we had never eaten before. Our kids had an amazing time with Gagan's kids and did not want to go retire to the rooms even after a long trek. They have an extremely friendly dog, Candy who was a charmer! Our kids built a bond with Candy and cried as they waved bye to him. The evenings were were a delightful as we say Gagan's kids, our kids & Candy playing & running all over and having a gala time right outside our room. If you are up for trekking, there is a lovely and peaceful 2.5 hour trek near by, it has beautiful views & is picturesque throughout the way.

Visited the place in last week of October! The home stay is neat and clean and well maintained. Host and his family are super friendly and very cooperative. Enjoyed the stay in a remote village in the lap of Himalayas! Connecting road is very beautiful! We came across a lot of tiny waterfalls! Nature is amazing! View of the mountains especially sunset is amazing! Recommended for families for a couple of days stay to enjoy serenity and peace!

Kainthali cottage is a quaint home stay. Gagan, Ambika, their kids, and dog are warm and gracious hosts. The mountain views are surreal. Hiking in the deodar forests with Gagan and Candy as our guides was an experience that was unparalleled. The local cuisine served by Ambika was relished by us after a good day of hiking. Keep up the good work guys (:

It is a good place, clean, homely feeling. Hosts are nice people. If you are looking for a place for WFH, then it is good for that too. They have a cute dog, his name is candy.
