Overall, a fantastic cabin in a great location that was perfect for our family vacation to the Black Hills. Note: when we booked this place, we did not realize it was Sturgis week, but it turned out to add to the fun! We have 3 adult children, so it was much nicer staying in a place with a lot of room (and 4 bedrooms) vs. trying to squeeze everyone into a hotel suite or even 2 hotel rooms. This place had all the amenities and was very comfortable. Although we were out exploring quite a bit (and eating out a lot), we did enjoy eating breakfast and preparing several meals in the kitchen. Evenings we could relax, play games, sit out on the back patio, walk to downtown Hill City, etc. The only surprise (but not a negative) is that the cabin was directly behind a gas station/convenience store and right off the main road going out of town. So not quite the "remote cabin in the mountains" that you might think you are renting. Having said that though, I would stay here again.

Great location! 20 mins or less and you can be at Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, or Custer State Park!! The pics definitely show the highlights, but not that the house is attached to another residence or storage building, and someone living in the garage or camper behind it. The whole house smelled of raw sewage and mildew, especially in the basement. Basement bathroom had black mold all around the bottom tiles.

We came to Hill City because of a family reunion. Our family all stayed together at Alice Cottage. The location was great and it had 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Perfect for our family. We would recommend this Airbnb when in the Hills.
