A house spacious enough for a family of five but insufficiently equipped and dirty on arrival. The kitchen is under-equipped. Making food was complicated throughout our stay. To this discomfort, we also have to add an undersized water heater, for a maximum of 3 showers but not for 5 or 6. We felt like we were camping when it came to eating or showering. This lack of basic equipment makes the rental price excessive and unjustified. Cooking without an oven (no pizzas or gratins or Christmas and New Year's Day meals worthy of the name...), no usable microwave (the turntable is missing), very old pans with a very worn coating, 2 pans usable out of 3 (the largest has a rounded bottom and no longer touches the induction cooker), a small dirty and rusty toaster, 2 bowls for 5 and the absence of many utensils for cooking. We are used to taking short showers (especially in places where water is scarce) but in this house we could take a maximum of 3 quick hot showers, the other two had to wait 3 hours to be able to take a hot shower. The agency in charge of managing the house came to note all these causes of discomfort but could only remedy the housework (I myself had cleaned the fridge soiled by a whitish juice in the bottom and put all the very dusty and greasy cutlery and plates in the dishwasher). They also bought a mixer and raised the thermostat of the water heater to the maximum (the first day we only had 2 hot showers) but explained to us that the water heater is indeed undersized. Susan's house is spectacular. Architecture and decoration are lovely, so special and cozy. Views and outdoor spaces are just stunning, specially with the natural pool. The house was very clean and well equipped. Location for us was perfect, a quiet town with beautiful surroundings where we enjoyed running and cycling, and with a supermarket near by. Susan was a very attentive hostess, she responded super quickly every time we contacted her. She even kindly allowed us to do a late check-out since our flight back home was very late in the afternoon :) Thanks so much, Susan! We'll absolutely repeat and recommend.
