Everything about the stay was great! Tricia helped us get stone crab and tended to any issues that came up immediately. The walk to Pete’s is not bad at all (bring a flashlight) and Tricia has plenty of coffee makers to help out in the morning. The dock is deep enough for at least a 33’ boat so no worries about making it with the channel. We will be back 100%. Thank you Tricia and Bruce for a great stay!

If you're looking for a Bahamas getaway, you've found it at Kestrel Cottage. The space is fresh, clean and inviting, and the hosts are very friendly. You'll have everything you need to relax and be comfortable in this charming beach villa. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment and cooking essentials. Lots of fresh towels and linens. The views and breeze are amazing. Walk down to the dock for a swim in the ocean and enjoy a refreshing outside shower afterward. A short walk to Pete’s Pub & Gallery, or utilize one of the kayaks to paddle over. Dock your boat right out your backdoor to easily explore the rest of the Abaco Islands. We’ll definitely be back!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the Kestrel Cottage, and what a great week it was! Little Harbour is a great place to kick back and relax, or to use as home base for exploring the Abacos. And the cottage was a perfect place for us to stay. It included everything that we needed: a very well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and wonderful pillows, a game closet, good wifi, and a quiet little town to explore. We made good use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling gear that are provided with the cottage. Heidi, the resident dog, became our good companion on walks, swims, and boat rides. Trish and Bruce were wonderful hosts and really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We left feeling like we had made life-long friends. Bruce also captains the Shearwater (sailtheabacos) but, fortunately for us, he was home during most of our stay and we were able to hire him to take us to Sandy Cay for snorkeling the gorgeous coral reef with turtles, eagle rays, and loads of colorful fish. The next day he took us into the wild and beautiful Bight of Old Robinson, where we kayaked amongst the turtles and rays and over majestic, deep blue holes. We really loved getting to see these very different ecosystems, so close to our home base with an experienced guide that is very familiar with these waters. Some of our other favorite local spots: Pete’s Pub, of course; snorkeling right off the beach in Little Harbour at a fantastic, healthy little reef; kayaking around Little Harbour and exploring the caves; Cherokee Beach with the long dock and most beautiful shallow, clear, aqua waters. We spent a day at Hope Town and bicycled around the entirety of Elbow Cay. A rental car, or possibly a boat, is a necessity, as the place is about a 40-minute drive from the airport. We stocked up on groceries upon arrival, but the place was already well-stocked with things like oil, spices, sugar, honey, coffee, and other essentials. I would highly recommend Kestrel Cottage to anyone wanting to explore Great Abaco and the surrounding islands, or for just chilling in a great little town.

We had an amazing stay. Check-in and check-out were easy, the place was beautiful, Tricia and Bruce's hospitality was amazing and most of all Heidi the mascot dog was the highlight! There is a short walk highlighted with lightening bugs to Pete's Pub where you can get great drinks and amazing food! There is plenty of snorkeling close by if you have a boat. The dock at Kestrel Cottage for boats is easy to get to and the pond blocks the winds so docking is easy. There is a swimming area out front of the main house that is just beautiful! If you're looking for an authentic experience be sure to visit this place! I'll definitely be booking with Tricia and Bruce again!

Kestrel Cottage is an amazing getaway! The town of Little Harbor is very special! Tricia and Bruce were exceptional hosts! Can’t wait to come back! The cottage is super charming. There are full amenities despite being completely off the grid! There is so much todo, but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to get it all done. Oh well, guess there’s gonna be a next time!!
