I immediately asked the hosts if they were aware of the distance from the location I was seeking. They clarified it was a 10-15 min walk “depending on how fast you walked.” It was a 10 minute drive, or $15 Uber. Additionally I received an email the day before check-in notifying me that the tub in the bathroom was “not working.” I emailed about this and they responded that it had just been fixed that day. False representation of location and amenities.
We elected to stay in Portland on our first trip to Maine. Francine and Greg’s place immediately felt familiar and comfortable. It served as a great base of operations as we visited Portland and points north, including a very drivable Bar Harbor. We would absolutely stay again if our travels take us to northern New England.
Great spot in a great location. Very walkable. Close to the port and downtown. Loved it
Nice apartment, clean and comfortable. On the older side, but well appointed. Towels and linens fresh and clean. Bed was comfortable.
Francine & Greg’s place was so nice we stayed here more than once. Location is great as it’s easy to walk to the city center and block is quiet

自我介绍
We are Francine and Greg, hailing from Ireland and Central Maine, respectively, and we're the hosts of the Port City Nest and Port City Oasis in Portland, Maine, and the Laughton House and Cottages at Pemaquid Beach. After getting married in 2016, we left our home in North Carolina and set off on an adventure around the world that led us back to Maine where Greg has his roots. Now our life adventure continues with our silly toddler, Finn, and a commitment to providing our guests with an enjoyable stay in Portland and Pemaquid Beach. We highly value our guests and want everyone who stays in our Airbnbs to feel at home during their stay. We are also polite, courteous, and very respectful of other people's homes when we're the guests.
