This is a beautiful family home in a peaceful and accessible area of Haarlem. Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay at Else and JJ’s home. We loved being in a quiet area of the city with an easy walk or bike ride to everything. JJ and Else were excellent hosts, replying promptly to any questions and providing many helpful local recommendations during our stay. The house is spacious and welcoming. We felt comfortable right away and throughout our visit. Our kids loved all the indoor and outdoor toys and games as well. The neighborhood is lovely, with grocery stores and a bakery just a couple blocks away and wonderful parks nearby. Highly recommend JJ and Else’s home, I hope we can come back again!

A huge house with all you need, in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. It's just a pity we could not use (due to the winter weather conditions) fabulous outside areas. Recommended!

I rented the house with two kids as the idea was to have a place for couple of weeks away from Amsterdam and within a short bike ride to the beach. The house is ideally located in the quiet neighborhood of Haarlem and a 10 minute walk from the train station. It also has a supermarket nearby (no credit card accepted). Overall commute to Amsterdam (Central Station) takes around 30 minutes from the moment that you leave the house, even less if you are using the bike to get to the station. The house has plenty of rooms and space for a comfortable stay for the whole family. The house is very good for kids as it has a lot of things to do including table tennis in the garden and the trampoline! Overall I have only positive emotions from the time I spent in this house and would like to thank the hosts for the kind welcome. I would definitely recommend this option for a family who wants to spend time away from the city and be able to get to the beach within a short bike ride. P.S. There are two cats in the house that like to be around people and very friendly, this is perfect for (not just) cat lovers. :)

What a lovely house! Our family spent a week-long new year holidays at Else's place. Both JJ and Else were superbly nice. They and their kids left us a card of welcome messages that was so impressive. Both of them responded to our requests and questions very quickly. The house was stylish and there were a lot of rooms and common space for our family members to spend time together. Bedrooms were cozy and our kids liked the children's bedrooms a lot. The house was full of toys and games which was perfect for our family with little kids. The location was superb. Thank you Else, JJ and your kids for sharing your lovely house for our family to spend a memorable New Year together!

This home is a gem! Our family of five plus one mother in law made it a bit tricky to find the right fit for our four day holiday in Haarlem. We have rented a few Airbnbs over the years and this was by far our favorite. The home is filled with a lot of creativity and love. The owners have thought of everything and then some. We literally felt at home. Their communication and eagerness to ensure your holiday is fantastic shines through in every aspect of the process!
