My recent stay at this old cabin in Mammoth was a rather disappointing experience. To our surprise, the cabin lacked basic necessities such as a pantry, coffee, salt, and pepper or even shampoo. These items are typically expected in rental unit. The absence of a smart TV in the living room made it difficult for all eight of us to gather and watch something together. The cabin's age showed in its sound insulation. We could easily hear our downstairs neighbors, or even if our friends walked upstairs. The kitchen was quite outdated. The appliances seemed old and worn out, this made meal preparation more challenging. These drawbacks significantly impacted our overall experience. As travelers, we expect certain amenities and a certain level of comfort from our accommodations, especially when paying a premium price, almost $1000 a night. Unfortunately, this cabin failed to meet those expectations.

Overall great place - very spacious but still cozy. The couch is huge which makes it great for us all to sit together and watch TV or just even crash there. A lot of supplies in the kitchen, but there was not enough toilet paper provided (we ran out by the end of our trip and because we were snowed in we couldn't go get more). Downside, there was no shovel provided for us to shovel out snow which really sucked because our front door was almost buried and so were our cars. Other than that, the entire cabin was amazing and had a great view. It was also walking distance to Canyon Lodge so walked about 10 mins to get to the ski lift! Great location and nice space.
