A great retreat, this sunny, furnished studio is surrounded by hills, has skylights, 2 decks (one to the west, one with east-facing french doors), great views, and is less than a mile from the iconic Montague Bookmill. This is one of two unattached and very private units on an acre of scenic country land. With decks on both the east and west sides, it is a nature-lover's (and bird watcher's) paradise! Has oak floors, and an open plan layout that includes a kitchen, dining area, office/sitting area, and bedroom area with queen-size bed. There's also garden space with blackberries & blueberries, and a window air conditioner. At just under 400 square feet, there is space for all the important things (eat, sleep, shower, work on the computer, dance...) There are lots of extras here -- there's clean, clear well water from the taps, a garage space (for parking) with a garage door opener (meaning you won't have to get out in the rain). And, there's on-site access to a washer and dryer. Nearby are hiking and cross-country ski trails, streams for fishing, a river for boating, and low-traffic biking roads. Located 15 to 20 minutes from Route 91 or Route 2, UMass, Greenfield, Deerfield, and other area schools; 30 minutes from Northampton and Shelburne Falls. There are so many wonderful festivals, galleries, farm stands, and events in this area, and you will have access to them all! This is my home that I rent while traveling. It is ideal for a low-key, non-smoking person looking for a peaceful, homey oasis in a hectic schedule. However, do please note that there is no smoking of anything by anyone anywhere on the property. If you are a smoker, please pass this by!
