We got stuck in some serious highway construction on our way out, so we checked in EXTREMELY late and in the dark, but Anthony’s directions made it super easy to find without issue. The space is clean, efficient, and cozy; there’s a cute porch with seating that we wish we had had time to use. Another review mentioned this, but I didn’t quite understand what they meant: there IS a private bathroom right in the cottage, but there is no separate ceiling on top of it; there are walls all around - it is indeed a *room*, but the walls do not continue up to the cottage’s roof, so the bathroom is open at the top. Therefore, if you’re not staying alone, the other party might want to take a stroll or wait in their vehicle for privacy. Just a heads up - definitely NOT a dealbreaker for us; we’d definitely stay here again! Thanks so much, Anthony!

This was our 4th visit to Hemlock Cottage. It is always so welcoming.... twinkle lights on the ceiling beam were on and the heat was up just enough to warm the cottage for our arrival. Everything was clean and neat as a pin. We still love the style of the cottage. There were two bottles of water in the mini-fridge and we were so thirsty after our long drive that we enjoyed them while unloading our car. It's so quiet at the cottage and always so nice to awaken to bird song. Looking forward to a future return stay. As always, thanks so much Anthony.

The Hemlock Cottage was perfect for my stay. Homey, cozy, slightly funk in a very hip way, thoughtfully appointed, and super-quiet and peaceful. The vibe was delightful. Instructions for using the space were clear (little placards posted here and there), though I did have to fuss with the input selector on the TV remote to make that work. Perhaps some previous guest had inadvertently changed the settings. Because it's a bit off the beaten path, the signage is unobtrusive, and the parking is at the rear of the building (so you don't really see what's depicted in the photo until you've parked and walked around to the front), I'd strongly suggest you try to arrive during daylight hours so you can get your bearings.
