Our house manual will help you plan your stay with a multitude of options depending on your taste and level of fitness (with plenty of kids friendly outings too). Here are a few to give you a taster:
--> Gastronomy: Rhône Valley, home of Cote du Rhone wine, so tons of cellars, wineries and wine tasting options. This part of France is also renowned for growing the best fruits in the country (peaches, cherries, apricots, raspberries, strawberries & tomatoes worth dying for). You will also discover great olive tree, chestnuts, nuts, chocolate & lavender products, varieties of cheese and charcuterie & patés in our many local farmer's markets. Not to mention the 3 star Restaurant Anne-Sophie Pic in Valence and many other fancy restaurants nearby.
--> Outdoor activities: Hiking, road/mountain biking, paragliding, canoe/kayak, golfing, horseback riding, river & lake swimming - all 10 minutes away.
In the Winter months: snowshoeing and cross-country skiing 40 minutes away (le Grand Echaillon), skiiing a hour away (Correncon, Villard de Lans), dog sleighing an hour away (Vassieux en Vercors).
--> Indoor / cultural activities:
- Valence: home to 11th century St-Apollinaire Cathedral, the museum offers art and archaeology displays, plus views over the Rhône Valley. Jouvet Park features canals and a rose garden & carved heads adorn the 16th-century Maison des Têtes; across the Rhône River are the medieval Château de Crussol and the Soyons Archaeological Site, with its caves and museum
- the jazz festival in Vienna in June or the theatrical nights in Grignan in July / August
- Roman Museum in Vienna
- Valhrona museum in Tain l'Hermitage - home to the famous luxury chocolate brand
- Le Palais Ideal du Facteur Cheval: a work of art? a monument? for sure an oddity in itself, good for kids and bigger kids
- Chabeuil and Crest: charming old villages to visit
- Cave of Choranche (with thousands of stalactites, enjoy a visit where the waters of the underground lakes and rivers flood the crystal whiteness of the rock formations with emerald green reflections)
- Pre-historic Cave of Chauvet (containing some of the best-preserved figurative cave paintings in the world)
- Memorial & Museum de la Resistance in Vassieux-en-Vercors

There is plenty of space to park your cars in our 3 wooden garages and in the gated park.
