Absolutely lovely stay in the gorgeous Thistle Flat. Peaceful, relaxing, and cozy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a break away by the ocean. The area is beautiful and the walk between Pittenweem and St Monans is breathtaking.

Great find, loved the location and the flat was very well appointed. Helen had thought of everything including where we could park. We have a dog so it was ideal that he was allowed to stay too.
Helen was a great host, staying in contact beforehand to ask if there was anything she could help with and offering to be available if needed on our stay. The flat was comfortable and cosy with everything you could possibly need. On arrival there was a welcome pack of eggs, rolls, t bags and milk, very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and an ideal spot on the front is an added bonus. Great base for surrounding areas. Thanks again to Helen & Nigel.
Thistle Cottage is a wee gem . Lovely, cosy and comfortable. It is small but very well appointed and a place for everything. Dishwasher and washing machine very welcome. We stayed for 7 nights and could not fault it. Lovely private back courtyard for the nicer weather. Very doggy friendly too. Helen was very helpful with parking arrangements and always available with local knowledge.

My husband Nigel and I moved to Pittenweem five years ago from England when we had the chance to buy our historic Thistle House on Mid Shore. The location is so amazing - right opposite the sea, the bird life and the fishing boats going in and out of harbour. We decided to convert the ground floor into a holiday flat. Since then, we have welcomed many happy guests, who love the location and enjoy the comfort of Thistle Flat. My sister Ruth has lived in Pittenweem for many years and previously worked as a lecturer at St Andrews University. She retired early in order to open The Dory Bistro and Gallery on East Shore, with her partner Malcolm Cheape, a professional artist. The Dory is also highly successful and we recommend that all our guests enjoy at least one meal there! We are all keen to welcome visitors to enjoy the very special atmosphere of Pittenweem.
