Being a group of friends, the location is where we wanted to be, and the pictures of the large/long balcony sold us on the place and exceeded our expectations of the place! Having the 5 bedrooms for 5 people was great and when one of them couldn't come with, we had an extra bedroom for a multitude of purposes. We were mostly out during the day, so being able to fix our own breakfast and then nibble later at night made the kitchen a real bonus and was well stocked. We seemed to land on the balcony and around the dining room table as we aren't ones to turn on the tv, so really didn't use the living room, thus this place met our needs. The two bathrooms with showers worked really well. Check-in was really smooth, and Montserrat couldn't have been nicer, helpful and informative. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend!!

We loved the place. It was plenty big for the 7 of us, which is a little difficult to come by in such a good location in the city. There were many grocery stores, restaurants, and patissseries within very easy walking distance. I wish it had been a little warmer, so we could have used the balcony more. The bedroom in back was super quiet, the one in front less so. I enjoy old places, and aspects (floors, doors) were obviously old. Tile needs repair in a couple of spots. Kitchen was updated, and had all the dishes and pots we needed. There could have been a few more wine glasses. We were surprised that we had to buy a few ordinary supplies that often are provided (paper towels, a second garbage bag, extra toilet paper). It's on the fourth floor, which was great for views and there was an elevator.

If you’re an architecture fan, then you should think about this flat. The photographs don’t do the flat justice, because this flat is in one of the most spectacular Modernista buildings in the Eixample, with a breathtaking facade of ornate balconies. The flat has 3 doors that open out onto the wrap-around balcony. It has to be said that the interior of the building doesn’t match the grandeur of the exterior, but it’s still a good flat. As with lots of Eixample flats, they can be dark and narrow inside, and the flat has some great rooms, and some slightly less grand rooms. The single rooms are less impressive and don’t have the same light as the doubles/twins. Some balcony furniture was tired and missing slats, and it has a slightly dated rental flat feel. However, this is common for flats for 8 sharers. The flat was booked for visiting friends and all had a great stay, and all mentioned the fantastic balcony. It’s the star feature of the flat, and that’s the premium you’re paying for.

This apartment was perfect for our trip to Barcelona. It had plenty of space, a beautiful balcony and all of the things we needed to live comfortably.
