Ruth’s place was spectacular with a view of both the sea and the village on either side. We kept the bedroom windows open at night and fell asleep to the sounds of waves below. The place was clean, spacious and most notably was well stocked with literally every amenity you could think of and many we hadn’t thought of. Ruth was very proactive and responsive. Location was fantastic. Only thing (as already mentioned in the listing) is that there are many stairs to climb to get inside. If you have mobility issues or bad knees, it will be hard on you after a couple days. However I guess that’s the price to pay for the spectacular views. Plus the place is so comfortable you may not feel like you need to leave ;) I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome place to stay and Ruth is a terrific. We have stayed in a lot of places around the world, but the appointments in Ruth’s place are top-notch. The kitchen has everything you need, plus she has thought of everything else you may want while you’re there. She provided excellent instructions and a very helpful guide that included things to do and places to eat. I highly recommend staying here. My wife likes hotels more than Airbnbs, but she said this one “felt like home.”

The apartment was beautiful and the view was amazing! Ruth goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The handbook that she provides answers all your questions and more. Christiano arranged a private boat tour for us with 2 outstanding guides (highlight of our trip). Restaurants and shops at the bottom of the steps from the apartment (lots of steps, but manageable). We even stayed in one night and made dinner in the well appointed kitchen and played board games that are provided. Don’t hesitate to book if visiting Vernazza, perfect!
