We felt very much at home in this lovely country cottage. Paul was a wonderful host. Great communication, welcoming arrival, and he very thoughtfully left milk, cereal (for the kids), bread and fruit out for us. He also had the house lovely and warm for us, which was much appreciated. Thank you for a great stay!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Paul and Oona’s stunning farmhouse. Communication from Paul was top notch and he met us at the Farmhouse for check-in which was seamless. The farmhouse was warm, cosy and very inviting from the cold winters day. It is a real home from home and had everything we needed - the bread, milk, butter, cereals and wood/coal for the fire was a lovely touch. The farmhouse is in a great location for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We particularly loved the walk right on the doorstep, up the lane and down to the lake with our dog Murphy. The recently installed WiFi was nice to have and we could enjoy Netflix on the smart tv in front of the fire after a long day walking in the countryside. We will certainly be returning to see the property in full bloom in the summer months. We would highly recommend this property - it is a true gem!

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse. We spent New Year’s Eve here. We have two kids who thoroughly enjoyed exploring the farmhouse and just loved playing the piano. The location is in rural Ireland and very peaceful. We went to the local Italian restaurant 10min drive away and it was Lovely, the views were fab of the lake. Carrick on Shannon and Boyle are close by. There are tonnes of forest trails you can do but unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side so we opted out. We lit a fire and cosied up. There is no WiFi and not great phone coverage but sure This place Is not for that. It’s for switching off, Reading a book and taking it easy. We brought board games and had some craic. Thanks again for letting us stay in this gorgeous farmhouse ! : ) Sonia and Morg.

A quirky, quaint, quiet retreat, equipped to perfection. Host’s response exceptional. So many treats , artisan bread, eggs, milk, tea, coffee! Decor so interesting & entertaining. Amenities galore I.E music, books, . We simply loved the place, felt quite at home. Everything has been thought of by the hosts. Thank you Paul & Oonagh

If it's a gorgeous, homely & well furnished cottage you require in the most peaceful of settings, then Paul's is for you :) I booked it as a suprise for friends visiting for the weekend & our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Paul was very kind & moved check-in for me. I hadn't even locked the car & he was offering to put the kettle on. A wonderful, warm Irish welcome. Lots of wonderful recommendations & lots of generosity with a wonderful welcome pack of essentials & wood for the fire. The setting is superb, so tranquil but in easy reach by car of Carrick & Boyle. Paul's is an absolute gem...a very comfortable, stylish, quirky Home from Home. Thank you so much for a truly restful stay :) We will be returning!
