We were extremely fortunate to be able to stay in Dorothea's "Spacious Flat in Grunewald Villa"; Dorothea was an incredibly kind and thoughful host, and her husband Michael was likewise extremely helpful and friendly. The flat is extremely spacious, Grunewald is green and very peaceful, and the flat had everything we needed, including a brand new washing machine. We stayed for 9 nights in July 2023 when we were in Berlin for a work conference at the CityCube. CityCube is 30 minutes walk away or about the same time via combinations of the public transport options that Dorothea's extremely generous inclusion of a BVG card allows you to explore. CityCube does not have a lot of accommodation and eating options nearby, so we were delighted to be in walking distance and to have such a well-provisioned kitchen and pantry to prepare our lunches. I would highly recommend Dorothea's place; she is the most amazing Airbnb host and the place is perfect for work or holiday visits to Berlin.

Really enjoyed our stay with Dorothea in the very pretty Berlin suburb of Grunewald. Dorothea was charming and very kindly gave us quite a lot of food, including fresh eggs from her chickens and fresh rolls every morning. The apartment itself is a good size, with a very usable kitchen and quite large living room. It is a basement apartment but still quite light. The house itself is large, from the 1930ties, and the garden is really beautiful, full of tulips etc. The location is out of town but a bus to the center leaves every 10 minutes from a bus stop about 250 feet from the house. There is a bakery/cafe and a decent Italian restaurant in a small shopping area perhaps 400 feet away. There is a large park with a small castle nearby, the Jagdschloss, which is very interesting. Overall, highly recommended.

It was excellent! We spent an incredible time at Dorothea’s house. It is located in a very quiet place with great transport communication. The apartment has everything necessary for living except for washing machine, but as an amazing host, Dorothea proposed to use theirs. We also stayed with our dog and everything was just fine with it too. I can totally recommend!
