You will find here a great starting point for your outdoor activities or the varied offers in the valley. The Engadine is one of the world's most beautiful regions.
There are several recommended restaurants in the village and a small supermarket in the immediate vicinity of the house (except Sunday open every day).
The village of Guarda is a culturally significant site and you will find dozens of splendid Engadine houses within walking distance.
The Lower Engadine climate is mild, sub-alpine climate with low dust, dry air, low cloud cover and rich in sunshine.
ALL YEAR ARVOUND:
Bogn Engiadina in Scuol is an adventure and health bath with baths and saunas, Roman-Irish bath and a therapy and wellness center.
WINTER:
Why Austria, when it is no longer more expensive in Switzerland and sometimes even cheaper?
Ski passes with complete ski equipment priced comparable with leading Austrian ski regions and partly cheaper here.
Only the food is more expensive here.
Skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, Nordic skating, tobogganing / sledding & snowshoeing, all right around the corner.
Or if you want to be on the Go by glitzy St. Moritz style, then drive 50 minutes (by train or car) and you are at the epicenter of the No.1 alpine skiing region "St. Moritz - Top of The World": World Class Skiing Ski prepared with 480 KM slopes, full moon skiing with some of the best après ski locations in The Alps.
Highlights tobogganing / sledding: Preda-Bergün (6 KM toboggan), Darlux-Bergün (4 KM long toboggan), Prui to Ftan (3 KM toboggan)
Highlights Nordic Skating / Cross-country skiing: In 10 minutes walking distance from here you are at the 70 KM cross-country skiing / skating trail: Giarsun - Zernez - Samedan - Pontresina - St. Moritz - Sils Maria - Maloja.
In 20 minutes from here by car you are in Ftan on the trail Dario Cologna which is also illuminated at night.
SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN:
The region offers year-round endless hiking possibilities, each route more beautiful than the other, for every age.
You find unique bike trails for all abilities - all in immediate vicinity of 0-30 KM.
The legendary Swiss National Park can be reached in 20 min. from here.
All 3 additional mountain bikers paradises - the Upper Engadine, Davos Klosters as well as Livigno - can be reached in 50 minutes (either by public transport or by car).
The no. 1 biker paradise Lower Engadine is right at your doorstep. Enjoy the unique National Park Bike Marathon route which runs through Guarda. The total distance is 138 KM and a total of 4,000 meters of altitude to overcome.

Public transport:
Switzerland has a very well-developed and well-functioning public transport network.
Getting to Guarda by train and the final 2.5 km by public bus services.
From Guarda Staziun the public bus service commutes regularly between 07:00h to 23:00 (with breaks !) up into the village to Guarda Cumün.
Please check the timetable of the SBB for the connections to Guarda Cumün.
From Guarda Cumün it is just 4 minutes walking distance over to the house.
By car:
1 parking lot at the house, more on the village car park (20 CHF / week)
