Just an incredible experience, pictures and words don’t do it justice! This was me and my girlfriend’s first backpacking trip ever so we kinda went 0-100 real quick but still had the time of our lives and completed it. The whole trip start to finish is all laid out for you plain and simple, from applying for permits, sending gear to your house, to the detailed itinerary for the days. If you are a newer hiker, I would recommend practicing uphill climbs for the switchback trails. They will test your endurance and will-power but the reward at the top is 100% worth it. I would definitely do this or another listing like this again!

This company is the jackpot for backpackers planning an adventure in unfamiliar territory. Chad provided not only the gear but permits, maps, descriptions, and tasty food. Saved us a ton of hours of preparation. Highly recommend. We backpacked the Yosemite Falls Trail. Extremely difficult with a pack on even for highly fit people. It is worth it but would consider Snow Creek Trail to get up to the high country. (less traffic) But the view and the water holes were worth it. Campsite is a dirt trail before Yosemite Creek. Camp there but need to walk to creek to get water. The best place to camp at Porcupine Campground is either at the bottom of the falls (cut through the woods) or further down the trail passed the initial sighting of water. We used Alltrails App. It kept us on the trail but did not give an accurate elevation or distance. I highly recommend a navigational watch or a more reliable app. Leave as early in the morning as possible. We had to hike 2 miles before we got to the trailhead bc shuttles were inoperable. We plan on using Chad and his resources again.

Awesome trip and experience. The gear was great and high quality. I would definitely recommend you try this. If this is your first time - be sure to select the right route for your fitness and experience level and bring enough water storage! Overall fantastic.

Chad and his team provided everything we needed. The gear was super clean, it looked brand new! We have never backpacked before but between the gear sent to us and the recommended packing list we had everything we needed. He even took care of our park reservations and wilderness permits. He gave us detailed instructions and our itinerary was super easy to follow. I felt like we had our own guide showing us the way. The hike we chose was the most challenging one that was offered, and although we were tired, we didn’t overly exhaust ourselves. I think this whole experience was a great deal financially as well, especially if you’re not yet ready to commit to buying all of the gear. They were very responsive as well. His team had excellent communication with me in the weeks leading up to my trip and were willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. I HIGHLY recommend! I actually recommended Camp Crate to at least 4 or 5 other backpackers while on the trail. We will be using his services again in the future!

All backpacking equipment was practically brand new and in great condition. The maps and directions were spot on. Everything went so smoothly!
