was tricky to find...but once I did I didn't want to leave. one day I hardly left. I just laid in the hammock and read. Every morning I had tea and toast on the terrace. Very enjoyable seeing the turtles every day. 3 sizes. lol I felt like a princess in her Italian Villa!

What a perfect setting and wonderful home in Scandicci. The home was exactly, or better than the pictures. Such a peaceful and beautiful place that felt right out of a Tuscany movie. Dawn was a very pleasant and informative host. She was there to greet us when we arrived and helped with dinner reservations and other items that came up during the week. Dawn and Maria were both wonderful by setting up coffee and a light breakfast for us each morning. We chose to get a rental car from the train station as we wanted to explore all over the Tuscany region. The house is a short 25ish minute drive from the train/Enterprise rental car location. Be prepared for several skinny roads to get to the house, but it was easy enough. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were perfect. Always looked forward to the views, day and night, out every window. A great stay, would and hopefully will return some day!

Dawn was so kind and helpful! She made our reservations for our wine tour and dinner and made us feel right at home. The view from outdoor patio was incredible and breathtaking. She directed us to a free parking area right around the corner from the tram, which took into Florence city center in just 15-20 min. Really enjoyed our stay!

Cecilia’s place was fantastic. It was pretty easy to get to by taxi from the Florence train station. The house is beautiful and is bigger than it appears in photos. One thing I’ll say is if the temperature outside is 60 or below, it’d be wise to wear layers indoors. We booked a couple tours at wineries nearby. Collazzi is in walking distance and has a great fine dining restaurant. It was a great place as an alternative from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A friend and I spent 5 great days at Dawn’s wonderful home in Scandicci. The home was exactly as photographed, better if you can believe it because of all the great light that the house gets during the day. Views like a watercolor and very peaceful. Dawn was a gracious and informative host. She was there to greet us when we arrived and helped with dinner reservations and other items that came up during the week. Maria was wonderful, our breakfast was set up for us each morning and she helped set the fire place in the upstairs bedroom on the cooler evenings. We did do the cooking class and Maria did a cool pasta demo for us, and it was a fun night. I would say if you are a more experienced cook, you may want a more immersive class. The location is a bit afield from Florence and you will want to rent a car. Getting into the city is very easy on the tram though and Dawn and Cecilia have great recommendations on where to park and pick up the tram. A great stay, would def return!
