We had a very short stay but really enjoyed the property. The house is large and well provisioned, it would be great for a larger family reunion. Private and quiet surroundings in the woods, lots of stars at night. Everything was clean and the host was responsive.

We chose Jannette’s place because it could accommodate our family in town for Christmas with my mom and sister. Plus it was available for only one night, which is all we needed. We were basically only there for about 12 hours. Entry was very easy and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was clean and neat, however there was a funny smell when we first walked in. Not sure if it was paint or cleaning products or what. There were lots of toys, books, and board games available for the kids. We weren’t able to use any of the outdoor amenities because of the weather and our short stay, but it looked like fun. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and a dual coffee maker in the kitchen. However the only pantry items provided were salt, pepper, powdered creamer, and a small bowl of K-cups. We couldn’t make a pot of coffee for the 7 adults because there was no bulk coffee. We were going back to my sister’s for brunch anyway so it wasn’t a big deal for us, but might be for others.

This was the second year that my family gathered at the farm for an early Christmas weekend. We felt right at home. The place was big enough for all of us without feeling cramped. It was wheelchair accessible. There was plenty of seating and an extra large table for eating and playing games. The kitchen was large enough for people to hang out and cook without having to squeeze around each other. The beds and bedding were comfortable and plentiful, and the two full bathrooms were well stocked. We enjoyed some relaxing time outside, watching the farm animals, fishing, and cooking smores over the fire pit. There was even an extra large table and seating outside on the back covered patio. Jannette was super nice and responsive when we had questions, and there were plenty of instructions left there and online for anything we needed to know. The only things that would have made it better is if there was a blender, and maybe a third couch, but it was nice and suited us twice!

This is a rustic place reminiscent of weekends at my great grandmother’s. The house is clean and comfortable. We had a large family gathering at another home, so having the extra space was perfect for sleeping arrangements. Had we not been busy with family at the other location, I would have loved to take advantage of the amenities so graciously offered. I would rent this place again.

Jannette was very responsive and flexible. The place was as described and wish we would have had more time. Would stay again if in the area.
