Independent room with own access via spiral staircase to balcony, on the edge of Pewsey with wonderful views of Martinsell Hill. Next to Jones's Mill Nature Reserve, an area of Special Scientific Interest . Many walks straight from the house and the Kennet and Avon Canal nearby. It is positioned along a very quiet lane ( no through road). Independent access by outside spiral staircase to balcony . This very spacious triple aspect room ( 7.4m x 5.6m) is light and cosy. As well as tea and coffee making facilities it also has a fridge, toaster and microwave for making easy meals. I will provide food for a continental breakfast, such as bread, milk, cereal etc for use in your room. I'm happy to provide a Vegan/Vegetarian option if you let me know. This beautiful room has a new cosy sofa . I can also put up a small double guest bed for a third guest or if 2 people staying if required and REQUESTED AT BOOKING. There is T.V foot stall and side table in the lounge area. The King sized bed also has an electric blanket. Double doors lead to a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the magnificent view over the Nature reserve and Martinsell Hill. The luxury en-suite has a claw bath and shower. There is also a second bedroom to rent which may be available in addition to the main space. This is listed as Small double room B .It is interconnected to the main room . PLEASE MESSAGE ME AT TIME OF BOOKING if you would like this room as well which accommodates 2 people . We have a 4 acre garden and keep free range hens and guinea fowl . The accommodation does not have any shared space. We have 3 dogs, Lenny (Collie/Whippet X) Flynn ( Pure Whippet) and the boy in charge - Basil, a miniature chocolate brown Dachshund.

A room with a view! We were very comfortable here and had everything we needed. There were rabbits out in front, deer passing by often and a barn owl using the tree next to the house - all lovely to watch! Lovely walks nearby and Pewsey has everything you need.

Staying here for 2 nights alone in a beautiful area was really so peaceful. Chickens and bunnies running round in the garden and even saw a baby deer. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the room itself was immaculate. Really quiet and tranquil. Kirsten was a fab host, leaving things for breakfast and even catered to my vegan requirements. I didn't see or hear Kirsten and her family whatsoever. I would have been happy to say hello but respected her privacy as she did with me. I would absolutely come back again and recommend this AirBnB to anyone. Thank you, Kirsten, for a beautiful stay😊

A very bright, huge room with the most glorious views. Don’t miss the walk down the path next to the entry gate to the boardwalk riverside nature trail.

This is a truly lovely place to stay: high spec interior and quality furnishings. Beds very comfortable with cotton bedlinen. Every item in the accommodation was carefully selected for quality and usefulness. We are looking forward to staying there again later this summer.

Pewsey is a large village with many facilities, including a Post Office, supermarket and bakery and a new leisure centre with Swimming pool opening in the Autumn. There are a number of pubs including The Shed Ale house. We are a 15 minute walk to the main line Station going to Paddington, London in just over an hour and to the south west as far as Penzance.
Pewsey Vale is an area of outstanding natural beauty. In the heart of Wiltshire , 25 minutes from Stonehenge and 15 Minutes from the World Heritage Site at Avebury.
The Historic Market town of Marlborough is 15 minutes drive. Home to Marlborough College it has a large diversity of Independent shops and Cafes.
Further afield is Swindon with its Designer Outlet Centre and Salisbury to the south , dominated by Salisbury Cathedral with timber buildings and market.
Bath, with its glorious Georgian architecture has a wealth of things to see and do. Including the Roman baths and the Natural thermal baths , where you can relax in the rooftop pool and have pampering beauty treatments.
Bristol is a diverse and vibrant city. Vist Brunel’s SS Great Britain and Bristol Zoo.
Both are about an hours drive away.
There are a number of Restaurants and Pubs in the area. The Polly tea rooms , and Rick Stein Restaurant in Marlborough.
The Red Lion, Chisenbury, The Goa Balti Indian Restaurant at Everleigh are well worth a visit. Also Dan’s Restaurant in Marlborough and The Seven Stars Pub at Bottlesford .
The Waterfront Bar and Bistro at the Wharf in Pewsey and the Royal Oak at Wooton Rivers are within walking distance.

There are buses from Pewsey to Swindon and Salisbury and a number of local taxi firms.
It is probably best to book taxis in advance as they can get booked up , particularly at weekends. Also it is advisable to book any restaurants in the area particularly at weekends
Walking into Pewsey takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
