Ein sehr schöner Platz um die Natur zu genießen. Ruhe, Ausspannen, Angeln, einfach fantastisch. Das Haus ist sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Nikolai ist nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Words can’t describe how kind and considerate Nikolai, Hege, Jim, Marit and the entire community are. We arrived in early March 2020 to stay for a month (to watch the northern lights) just before Coronavirus turned the world upside down. The neighbour, Jim came to meet us in our first few days to make us feel welcome and to invite us to do things with his family. We were lucky and stayed over Easter when everyone had free time without work. We’ve been snowmobiling, had a cuddle session with sledding huskies, been into the mountains, had multiple traditional Norwegian dinners and drinks and had an intense and fun night of board games. The generosity of these incredible people is hands down what has made our stay one we could never forget but the view over the fjord, having a friendly neighbourhood seal hanging out on the boat platform right out front of the house for hours every day, and the warm and super comfortable house (think sitting by the fire looking over the fjord) were also amazing. Nikolai is always quick to answer any questions we have and checked-in on us often to make sure we were doing okay and letting us know the evolving situation in Norway. Everyone really went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome to stay and to make sure we wouldn’t go to a more dangerous place to save money, even if it meant offering to pay for things out of their own pockets. If you ever get a chance to come to this beautiful part of the world, you’d be so lucky to meet these wonderful people and stay in this great cabin (from which the northern lights are stunning if the sky is clear).

We arrived in the dark of night, having rented a car in Alta. The hosts had prepared the drive but the elements had other ideas! The snow made our trek to the house that much more magical. Once we made it to the house with two kids and luggage we felt an immediate sense of comfort. We spent a month in this wonderland. We’ve made friends for a lifetime and will always have a special place in our hearts for the people of Oksfjord! Life is more than merely a dream especially with people and places such as this lovely community. We hope to return again, during any season, as we are certain there is a gift to be experienced during anytime of year!

Great place in a beautiful scenery. Everything is clean and there are enough kitchen utensils, bathing and beding cloths provided.
