Aphrodite is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood that is just minutes’ drive to the Launceston CBD.
It is also within walking distance of the beautiful Cataract Gorge where you can walk the Zig Zag track over the suspension bridge to the cafe.
A chairlift spans the entire Gorge and runs most days.
There is a swimming pool to swim in during the summer and if you are prepared to brave the chilly water, the Gorge itself is a swimming hole.
There are many walks to be enjoyed all around this iconic Launceston landmark.
You will be able to wander the streets of Launceston with ease if you base yourself here. Shopping, bars, restaurants and museums are all within walking distance.
In George Street you can get amazing coffee, get dressed from head to toe in simply beautiful clothes and browse in boutiques for quirky gifts and something unique.
The Quadrant Mall is also a must for food, florists & home-wares.
Charles Street is home to more shopping, eating & drinking and if you need a Chemist you will find several in this street.
If you are lucky to be staying here on a Saturday a visit to Launceston's award-winning farmers market is an absolute must. Chat to local growers to find out why this area is some of the best in the country for producing amazing vegetables, fruits, wines, seafood ....... the list just goes on.

Located so close to the City access to public transport is just so easy. There are any number of bus stops servicing all local neighbourhoods.
There is a taxi rank in St John Street outside Myer, two in Charles Street and another one in George Street opposite Alchemy Hotel. And of course, there is Uber.
