We came to Kathy's Airbnb right off the plane and had so many questions about how to live in Seoul, but nothing was too small or big for Kathy. She left all kinds of goodies to eat and toiletries so that we didn't have to start out right away buying stuff while we were recovering from jet lag. She was always available to help solve any problem. The neighborhood of the Airbnb in Bukchon is fantastic, a great place to start a trip to South Korea or as a base for a Seoul visit, with so many galleries and restaurants. The apartment itself is perfect, an amazing view with a wonderful balcony, fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of room for me, my husband and my mother. The little office was a welcome refuge in the middle of the night! It was a little bit of a walk to the nearest subway stop, about 15 minutes, but we welcomed the exercise and navigating the interesting streets. All in all a wonderful experience!

Truly one of the best foreign home stay experience I’ve had. Our preparation for our S. Korea trip was non existent and we simply went off based on our creature comfort needs. When going to a new place, we would’ve stayed in a nice hotel, but the profile and reviews drew me to Kathy and Lawrence’s place. Kindness is what I would describe our experience. Communication with both of them was a breeze. Despite arrived on a Nat’l Holiday, Kathy and Lawrence made sure to assist us in many ways. For me, ABB’s are only as good as its hosts. Coming in to a country in where its dialect can be a real impediment, our hosts match the apartment that they listed. Both were excellent, clean and had amenities that we are used to having, to name a few- it has good media/entertainment, bidets, good water pressure, good appliances, black out blinds, good sized towel/linens, pillows. Above all, its location is peaceful, 15-20mins away from most of the tourist attractions. We highly recommend it. 😊

It is such a great place to stay in the middle of unique place in Seoul, Korea. Great view from inside is additional feature we loved it. Hosts are very kind and considerate. There is nothing more to ask! One small down side is there are many IT devices makes small space even smaller. But if you love IT gizmos, you may like them. I believe it is a personal preference Highly recommend. We would stay again when we visit Seoul again!

After staying at Kathy and Lawrence’s place last year, I left a review highlighting everything that was great about their place. Not at all to my surprise, everything I praised has been repeated by every guest before and since. So instead of repeating praise that you can find just by scrolling down, I’ll just say that It’s one of the best Airbnbs not only in Seoul but anywhere on Earth. Last year, I stayed for ten days in the summer. This year, I stayed for 14 days in the fall. If I had to recommend one or the other, I’d say come here during peak color in the fall (late October to early November). Their house is situated so that you get views of fall color that can stand up to anything you’ll find somewhere like New England. But unlike in New England, you’ll be surrounded by very old Korean architecture, mountains, and a bustling downtown—plus some of the best dining in the world. I don’t know what else to say. It’s the best. Kathy and Lawrence are the best.

We had our best Airbnb experience thanks to our hosts, Kathy and Lawrence! Their hospitality from the moment we booked the place to the moment we checked out was really special. Kathy and Lawrence welcomed us with a groceries which included fresh bread, fruit, milk, juices, water, yogurt, and even a bottle of nice red wine! This made our stay so much more comfortable since we already had all of our necessities the moment we arrived. They also helped us arrange a van taxi for my family, which made the journey to/from hotel an absolute breeze as well. They were both super responsive to any needs that came up during our two week stay.. honestly I can’t thank them enough. Also, THE VIEW IS MAGICAL! I will admit that the area it’s located is full of hills and stairs. Also the apartment is on the 4th floor so it will feel like a workout at times. However, the view from the balcony totally makes it worth. There are so many attractions within walking distance. HIGHLY recommend this place!
