Things we liked: Fabulous views, relatively comfy bed, roomy and bright kitchen, lovely outdoor deck, fan in the bathroom, washing machine and dryer, private parking. Things we didn’t like: No power point in the bathroom, it stated that breakfast was included but it was only ‘ help yourself to our breakfast supplies. ‘ We had to go and buy fresh milk. If you are advertising breakfast included, then state what kind of breakfast it is. The lounge was a little too cluttered. I didn’t appreciate instructions on feeding the cat and putting her out. We love cats but weren’t there to cat sit. Again, state that clearly so people can decide if that’s the place for them, not 1 day before you arrive after you’ve paid or when you’re there. The place had a cat wee smell when you first walked in. We spent extra on this place and thought it would be a great way to spend our last few days in NZ. It was the most expensive of our all our stays but was sadly disappointing.

Location for this little pad is amazing! The views are awesome, and was just what we needed. We travelled with a 1 yr old and had the travel cot in our room. Lots of walks, cafes etc close by, was a great stay!

My husband and I have stayed at Jenni’s place many times. Here’s just a few things that make it special and keep us coming back. 1. It’s comfortable, the bed, the kitchen table, the couch… it all feels like home. 2. The deck and the view. While we head out sightseeing most days, the evenings are perfect sitting on the deck. And if you don’t want the sun, you can roll out the shade cover. 3. I like to cook, and I found everything I needed, utensils, pans, etc. 4. THE LOCATION! You can easily (uphill) walk to Ponsonby, or (downhill) to the wharf and Auckland CBD. 5. Ruby the cat. Each time we come it takes her a day or two for her to warm up to us, but having a pet certainly adds to the “feeling like home”. 6. Air conditioning. It was very warm when we were there this time and the AC did a fantastic job and cools this little cottage so quickly after coming back from a day in the heat. I know we’ll be back!
