This Stroudwater apartment is perfect in every way. I've never before stayed in an Airbnb so tastefully appointed and thoughtfully equipped, with every possibly cooking utensil to shampoo and conditioner in the bath. The dead-end street makes for a very quiet neighborhood. Elisabeth was both friendly and helpful on all matter. A 100% great stay!

The home itself is historic, unique and well-stocked. As others have mentioned, it was a thoughtful touch to have some food items in the pantry to avoid an immediate grocery store trip upon arrival. For a hiker, this home is a special delight because it's very close to several fantastic trails, including one that leads to the city's only natural waterfall. The helpfully provided binder offers information on the area, including how to access the hikes. It is a bit of a walk from the downtown - not far at all by car - but I enjoyed the peace and quiet of being a bit removed. You will occasionally hear planes take off or land but I thought it was a lot of fun to see (and ran to the window many times). I loved the unique design of the living area being on the highest level and spent a lot of time relaxing and watching TV and movies up there before heading down to the very comfortable bed on the main level of the unit. For brunch on weekends, I recommend The Sinful Kitchen.

This apartment is wonderful!! So charming with stunning views and very comfortable. I’ve loved absolutely everything about this place. Short drive to downtown and Elisabeth is really thoughtful and on top of everything I’ve needed. It’s truly a lovely, beautiful space.

My husband and I spent a month at Elizabeth’s place. It felt like our home away-from-home and was a perfect home base for traveling around Maine and other East Coast states. Elizabeth is very responsive and answers inquiries in a timely fashion. The kitchen is well stocked for a long term stay and the place was very clean. We would not hesitate to rent from her again. Elizabeth is a super host!
