Had a great time, very nice cabin with all the amenities, loved the in-door stone, wood burning fireplace, it was warm, cozy and peaceful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I’m back in the area. Highly recommended.

This was our third time staying at Burt's place, and will continue to be an annual destination. my brother and our best friend have been winter camping for more than 40 years now, starting with tents, moving up to primitive shelters and cabins, and for the last decade or so, we've decided that "glamping" is now our appropriate speed. Burt's place is really a very nice home, with ALL of the modern amenities, but nestled in the woods with a fire pit and a forest in the back yard, which gives us the feeling of nature and the outdoors which attract us. Burt's cabin is perfect for a family with kids, a romantic getaway, or a few buddies generously giving their wives a break from them for a little while. And Gettysburg is a short drive away which offers a whole lot of attractions if you're looking for a little less peace and quiet. I think the best recommendation I can give is that we will continue to return until our age prevents us from doing so.

The Forest House offered us a peaceful getaway to end 2023. My husband and I enjoyed coming back to a warm fire after a day of hiking. Comfy and cozy! We will definitely be back again.
