Mandy was an incredible host! Her place was spotless, quaint, and filled with all of the things parents of a 2 year old need! There were tons of age-appropriate toys, a huge play area, a variety of highchair and bed options that worked perfectly for us! The bedroom set up was great for our family. While the house was slightly smaller in footprint to other houses, the layout was great and worked so well! Mandy was very upfront with communication and I knew exactly what to expect before we arrived. We were able to pack accordingly and even lug less kid stuff with us because we had communicated ahead of time. Mandy even included a special touch to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was greatly appreciated after a long drive. Being able to stay at this Airbnb took a lot of the stress out of an otherwise hectic weekend.

My stay at Mandy’s place was an overall amazing experience. We were greeted with a lovely box of chocolates! Mandy’s place was accommodating to all my family needs. It was spacious enough for my family of 7, 10 minutes from UVA, 5 minutes away from shopping, and Mandy also provided me with a play pen for my daughter. Plus, very nice neighbors. There’s also a baseball field in walking distance from her house (unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it). My children loved the basement filled with toys and a piano. I think a piano is now on my son’s Christmas list! Mandy was very sweet and quickly answered my questions when I texted her. She was very generous with allowing me to use her laundry room. I would definitely recommend Mandy’s place!!!

We were pleasantly surprised with the area and the house in general. Mandy was a great hostess and responded quickly to questions. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was having to keep our shoes off in the house. Other than that, the place was great. I’d stay here again for sure.

Mandy's house is just fabulous for any family with little kids visiting Charlottesville. We traveled with our 6, 4 and 2 year old and our au pair, and it was perfect. The house was spotless, and the assortment of toys and books for all ages was a dream. The books and toys were also really well organized, which helped us keep them organized after we used them. Mandy and her family live in the home normally, from what I gather, but she does an excellent job sequestering all of their things (clothes, etc.) away so you feel like you're not on top of them (and she kindly left us some unutilized hangers, which we needed). Further, she went the extra mile and made up the basement couch bed for our au pair and set up the diaper changing pad and pack and play for our 2 year old. It made arriving at 10pm so much less painful (thanks Mandy!) As for location, it's a pleasant, central neighborhood just a few minutes from downtown (we were there for a wedding at a vineyard 25 min outside of town). It was quiet and we felt safe. The play structure in the back yard with a few swings was awesome for the cool summer mornings. Finally, Mandy was amazingly responsive with additional recommendations for several parks (walkable and drivable) as well as other advice for how to make the most of our visit. Further, she generously let us borrow her double BOB stroller for one such park trip to Belmont Park. Mandy made me feel comfortable reaching out with any questions, which we appreciated. Highly recommend without any concerns. Thanks to Mandy and family for making their home available. The trip wouldn't have been the same without it!

Mandy and her family are excellent hosts! This cozy home is well-located to much of what Charlottesville has to offer. We enjoyed short walks to the nearby playground and splash pad with our kids, and were also able to walk to dinner and to a local brewery. The house itself is very clean and tidy, with a good sized back yard and a cool basement TV room/play area. It was not only a great home base for all of our adventures, it was also a comfortable place to relax at the beginning and end of each day. And the hosts are extremely responsive and accommodating!
