Christina's place feels like home, and she and her parents are like family, we felt right at home instantly and we had such a lovely time in Sami. We couldn't have chosen a better place to make our base in Kefalonia. Fresh eggs from their own hens were delightful, many other personal touches, and of course we very much appreciate Christina meeting us at the port on our arrival, and taking us to the port for our departure, so hard to leave when you meet such wonderful people. 5 star host, thank you very much!

My friends and I had an amazing week at Christina’s apartment and were so sad to leave. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable and very clean. Lovely views from the balcony across Sami bay. Great welcome and hospitality from Christina and her mother. They also gave us some amazing free range eggs. The apartment is in the quiet village of Karavomylos and set up on slightly higher ground. We didn’t have a car for the first few days and managed to walk to Sami and back a few times, the local cave and to Agia Paraskevi beach along the road (no footpath).We got a taxi to Antisamos beach, which we loved (fab snorkelling). I would highly recommend hiring a car, we got one from Ionian cars which was delivered to the door and we were able to drop back at the airport on our return. The roads are quite hairpinny in places so drive carefully. Highlights included Assos, Antisamos beach, boat trip with Sami Star to Ithaki island and seeing turtles in Argostolion harbour. 5 stars all round
