Don’t hesitate to rent this place. Clean and comfy. They thought of everything. Tasteful decor and ten minute walk to restaurants and services. We loved it.

Shawn's cute place in Baddeck was just what my wife and I needed. It was well located - within a 10min walk of numerous restaurants, shops, grocery and the liquor/wine store. The walk up the hill back to the property was good exercise! Baddeck is centrally located to most everything in Cape Breton so we stayed for 4 nights. It was very clean, the beds (a Queen and a Twin in separate rooms) were good, the shower-head was good, the washer & dryer worked well (soap provided), double sink for washing dishes, lots of towels, comfy living room and all together quaint. A firepit would have been nice but I don't think there's water outside. We were also able to navigate to Shawn's Netflix and Amazon music accounts (a big accomplishment for a couple of seniors!). Would definitely recommend and return!

Shawn's place was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. The bed was super-comfortable and the linens smelled so fresh! The house was easy to find and close to the lovely town of Baddeck, which has great restaurants, gorgeous lake views, friendly people, and a nightly ceilidh right down the road. It's the perfect home base for exploring the Cabot Trail or the lakes area. Shawn couldn't have been a nicer or more responsive host. We loved our stay at this house and would love to stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Shawn’s place is charmingly rustic and cozy. It was easy to find. Shawn was a great communicator and has thought of everything — so many little things that make you feel right at home. The bed upstairs is comfortable. They’re are plenty of pots, pans, dishes and silverware in case you want to eat in. Netflix is provided. The place was spotless. It’s a great place to start and end your Cabot Trail adventure and see the Alexander Graham Bell NHS. I recommend Shawn’s place whenever you’re in Baddeck.

Shawn's cottage is impeccably clean, well-appointed, and conveniently located within walking distance of Baddeck's waterfront and restaurants. He responded right away when the toilet broke and had it fixed within an hour. We'll be back!
