The apartment is perfectly situated in the city centre. You are really in the heart of Cagliari close to all the museums, galleries and archeological sites, great shops and lovely restaurants and cafes.
It is next to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the most important street that connects several vital streets and, furthermore, it offers you all the comfort you need to enjoy your stay.
From here you will be able to walk to most of the major tourist sites. The Roman Amphitheatre, the botanical garden, the Elephant Tower, the Archeological Museum and the wonderful Castello district. Also just a short walk away you will find the other early districts of the town (Marina, Stampace, Villanova) that retain much of their original appeal and still seem to function as distinct villages within the city. You cannot miss visiting one of the longest beaches in Italy. The Poetto beach stretches for 10 km and it’s famous for its white fine-grained sand. By bike or by bus it takes 15 minutes to get there from my apartment, and now with the 5ZE it’s a direct trip from the apartment to the Poetto beach without any change of bus.
Also with so many bus (check the frequency!) and bike alternatives it couldn’t be easier to get around in Cagliari.
If you don’t want to end early your day, for dinner or after dinner, we are surrounded by very good restaurants, bars, theaters, pubs and more. From Viale Merello you have the choice to go to zones like Piazza Ienne and Largo Carlo Felice which goes straight down to the harbor, to the clubs and bars in Castello (some beautiful pubs are in the terrace of the Bastione St. Remì - De Candia and Caffè degli Spiriti) or La Marina (in Piazzetta Savoia give a try to Manà Manà Restaurant). Whatever you chose, you can almost walk there. Other 2 good restaurants are Acquolina in the same building of the flat, and Capitolo Due in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 800 mt.

There are several bus stops at 50 meters from the apartment that is really well connected with every part of the city. We also have a direct bus to the Poetto beach (5 Zeus). Arriving by plane, you can take the train which goes directly to piazza Matteotti and from there the bus n. 5 to via De Magistris. Another option is taking a taxi. A ride of 10 minutes to get to my apartment costs about 15/20 euros.
If you plan a trip out of Cagliari go to Piazza Matteotti (7 min walking and 3 minutes by bus, with a bus that stops 100mt from the entrance of the building) and from there you can take public transportation to any of the most beautiful beaches of the south area of Sardinia: Villasimius and Costa Rey take 45 minutes, Pula 35 min., Chia about 1hr and many more.
