Polite, friendly and caring host. Family is well mannered, polite, caring and humble. Room was very basic and neat and clean. But the access to the property is through the narrow lanes. Images of property don't give very accurate picture of surroundings. Property is very basic but Islam, his family and staff are lovely and helpful people.

Islam is a very peaceful, kind and spiritual man. It was very beautiful staying with him and his family.

The main drag through Bodh Gaya is congested, honking, busy. Islam's place is on the quiet side of the river. 1/2 hr walk to the Bodhi Tree or 50 rupee tuktuks into the action. Huge family is very welcoming. Big, quiet room with a view across river to temple. Good food. One day it rained all day. Guests hung out talking on an open, roofed porch. Between open air transportation (walking and tuktuks), private room, price and open air gathering spots this seemed like an ideal place to weather coronavirus scare that has US friends so freaked out.
