We had a great weekend in this beautiful little appartment with a lovely garden and incredible view. If you visit the countryside near Florence this a great spot, upon arrival our hosts recommended the best local restaurants (delicious is all I can say).

Really enjoyed this place! It's a charming countryside retreat with an intellectual touch, much like a writer's den or an artist's weekend house. Inside a larger Tuscan villa with natural stone walls and a romantic garden, but surrounded by wilderness. You can easily meet a range of animals on the hills around, especially deer, boars and foxes. The house itself is on a hill whose other side has vineyards, apparently the beginning of the Chianti-Rufina area. Apart from birds and some happy owl, this is a very quiet and relaxing place (and mosquitoes don't seem to find their way in). Florence shimmers in the distance, and after spending the day there, it actually feels good to leave the busy city streets behind and arrive in this green haven above the valley... I was very tempted to stay longer and definitely plan to be back.

La casa si trova nelle splendide e verdeggianti colline fiesolane e la vista e’ mozzafiato. Un angolo di paradiso all’interno di un antico complesso, appartenuto anticamente, al vescovo di Fiesole. La casa e’ accogliente ed impregnata della passione per la lettura, i viaggi e gli studi naturalistici di Gianluca, sempre disponible e gentile. Molto fresca in estate e calda con i primi freddi autunnali. Possiede tutti i confort necessari ad un gradevole soggiorno. In auto, in breve tempo, potete raggiungere Fiesole e Firenze. Il viaggio nelle colline vi restituirà’ una Toscana autentica, con i suoi profumi di erba tagliata, muschio e odore di olivi al calore del tramonto. Insomma potrete respirare totalmente la bellezza di Firenze e delle sue colline. La casa e’ dotata di un bellissimo giardino e di una veranda dove è possibile ascoltare musica e leggere un libro in totale relax. Nei pressi della casa, a circa due chilometri, raggiungerete un ottimo ristorante tipico toscano e locali per una buona pizza o una bibita fresca all’ombra degli alberi. A Fiesole troverete ristoranti, supermercati e localini molto pittoreschi. Inoltre Fiesole e’ il punto di partenza del bus (n.7) con una certa frequenza che vi porterà a Firenze fino alla stazione dei treni Santa Maria Novella. Ringrazio e Gianluca e spero di tornare presto.

Gianluca’s home is above and beyond Amazing. The private garden alone is spectacular. We were there as everything was in bloom so tons of wild flowers. The home is modest but clean and perfect. Lucas personal touches around the house are artistic and enhance the space. Luca was very communicative, met us in Fiesole and brought us to the home. By far our favorite Tuscan stay. Perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. We will be back!
