The top floor flat was lovely and cosy. We had everything we needed for a few days and it's so close to amenities. Perfect if you are on Islay without transport. We visited in winter but the shared garden looked like it would be lovely in the summer. Paula was really friendly when we communicated and very helpful. We were very happy with our stay and enjoyed visiting Islay.

We stayed at Paula’s flat in December while visiting some local distilleries. The flat can accommodate 4 but we only required 2 beds. Initially, there was an issue with the internet and shower. Paula responded very quickly and resolved both issues promptly, showing that Paula is dedicated to making sure your stay is perfect. The location is close to lagavulin and laphroaig distilleries which were the main reason for coming to island. We were able to wash our clothes and make dinner the first night, with the help from the items provided in the flat. Overall, it was a lovely stay with a responsive, caring, and accommodating host. This was a late season family visit and Paula was very accommodating when we had to change our travel dates due to a friend’s wedding. We were booked into the upstairs Flat but stayed in the downstairs one at the last minute due to ongoing decorating work which was no problem as they are apparently identical so this review relates to that one. The Flat was easy to find with dedicated parking and is located within easy walking distance of all facilities in Port Ellen. The Flat is compact and very cosy with good efficient heating if required. The two twin-bedded rooms are very similar and well appointed. The small kitchen is well equipped and there is comfortable seating in the lounge area beside it. A large TV mounted on the wall makes for easy group entertainment if required. The small bathroom is equipped with and efficient shower. Access to the Flats is via the rear of the Main Street where the parking is located. Very quiet as anticipated. Very good facilities in Port Ellen now.
