I was a returning guest who contributes to marvel at the landscape and weather here! The weather was blustery but with a generator for a hot shower and fresh coffee, I had all I needed. On one night we had a wind storm that blew down branches and shook the a frame, and it was a grand adventure knowing we were safe and cozy inside. Walking the beach is fun no matter the weather - I saw bald eagles and a seal.

Our family of 4 (and 1 doggo) had an amazing stay! The location was spectacular - peaceful, gorgeous, and close to Calais for groceries. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, we made indoor and outdoor fires each day and night (plenty of firewood!). It was an amazing fall weekend, perfect for walking the beach and finding sea creatures and SAND DOLLARS galore! We grilled out for all our meals - coffee maker worked great off banked power and was well enjoyed on the front deck listening to sea gulls. Thanks for an amazing stay! Would 100% book again!

This is a beautiful peaceful place to escape to. Everything we needed was available. The walk down to the beach was magical. Unfortunately the cleaning staff did not do their part in preparing the property. We brought these problems to Sams attention. He was kind enough to compensate us for these deficiencies. This was done immediately and with sincerity. We appreciated that. He also brought these problems forward to the cleaning staff so they can be corrected and won’t happen in the future. We didn’t let these problems take away from the fun of staying off the grid on the edge of the world!
