Charming house 25 min south of Visby. The house is located at the centre of Gotland, next to a meadow on one side, forest at the back. It is an old Baptist chapel turned into a summer place. It is a place for good nights sleep, relaxing walks in the area or just hang out in the garden. The location on the island makes it a great place of departure to Visby, to a great day at the beach on the west side (Tofta or Björkhaga), or to the east (Ljugarn, see the beach and the 'rauks' at Folhammar). The house standard is simple but clean. We have three bedrooms. Great social areas. New kitchen. 1 toilet and 1 bathroom with toilet and shower. Bring your own bed sheets. Guests clean the house before leaving.

Stort hus med mange værelser. Højt til loftet (6 meter i stuen!). Personlig og spændende indretning, hvor der også er taget hensyn til stedets historie (kirke). Hyggelig have grænsende op til skov. Værten svarede meget hurtigt og var meget hjælpsom. Eneste minus var, at vejen tæt på larmede lidt. Dog helt stille aften og nat.
Boendet passade oss perfekt för att göra utflykter runtom på ön. Flera sovrum gav möjlighet till enskildhet samtidigt som den stora salen uppmuntrade till umgänge. Mycket trevlig värd!

Big and unique, lovely house with all the necessary facilities. Safe, large yard for kids and dogs to play. Very central location to discover the whole island; we visited e.g. När Fyr, Ljugarn (Folhammar), Visby several times, Lilla/Stora Karlsö, Burgsvik, Lickershamn and even Fårö and its beautiful rauks. For beach days we can recommend the tip from Simon to go to Björkhaga and a special recommendation for the Ekens restaurang some 10-minute drive from the accomodation. We loved the place and the island!

The neighbours are really friendly.
I highly recommend a visit to Norrbys museum with the kids. It's a 15 minute walk there.
Explore Väte surroundings walking. There is a great 10 km running tour around the area.
There are also many great tours with roadbike or mtb.
Otherwise I strongly recommend going by car on Gotland.

I work at Linköping university and mainly with teacher education. Interested in film and literature and sustainable developement. I play squash, tennis and padel (in that order). We live south of Linköping in a big pink house. We also have a summer place at Gotland where we go at least once a year. We speak Swedish, English and a little french.
