Overall we had a nice stay, the cabin is nice, great shower, had access to use kayaks and dish TV. The biggest concern is that the cabin is right next to a very busy railroad that had trains running all day, including late at night. Also, many of the light bulbs were out or flickering.

Great stay! Randy and Cathy were excellent hosts, and space was exactly as pictured. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we’re ever in the area.

Our very best Airbnb experience ever! Randy has a gem of a getaway in surroundings that have no comparison. We based our canoeing and hiking operations out of Aspen Way for a week - every morning we hesitated a little to leave and every evening we couldn't wait to get back to the fire pit looking out over Ash Lake. When we finally called in a day and went inside the comfort-level was top-notch. Inviting, clean, with everything needed to get unplugged and decompress - we definitely plan to return as soon as life lets us! Much appreciation to Randy for sharing his cabin with us.

randy was good to work with, until the laundry list of rules that weren’t included in the house rules or manual, only emailed to us at 9:03pm after we checked in. the trains were nonstop and LOUD. the dining room lights were burned out, and when i went to find spare bulbs, the curtain rod hanging up fell on my head. the coffee makers didn’t work. the tv was hard to get working without solving a puzzle of which buttons from which remote was needed in what order. a let down compared to last year’s stay. randy did let us grab the coffee maker from the other cabin, and let us park where our boat trailer would fit. when there was a pause from the trains, it was peaceful. the scenery is spectacular
