We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. I highly recommend staying here. Scott and his sweet dog Shoog met us when we arrived and they were kind and hospitable. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Exceeded my expectations!

Scott is truly a Super Host... He was open to our family’s holiday schedule- we arrived early We asked if we could bring decorations for our Christmas stay and his family had already decorated for us. Scott and Shoog , the dog extraordinaire both greeted us after a long ride making sure we had what we needed- right down to the cookie sheets. The fire place is a real plus plus including Shoog who guided us through our daily walks through the forest safely. Star field Cottage, Scott, Shoog are like coming home. Very special place.

Scott went out of his way to accommodate this last minute booking and make it an enjoyable stay. Scott and his huge furry friend Shoog are both pleasant and easy going. The cottage is close to Cooperstown in a beautiful rural valley. I'd like to come back and explore the trails on the hill behind the cottage and take big Shoog for a walk. The cottage was clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped. It was a good stay.

Such a private, quiet place to stay that's super-close to anything you need to do in the village of Cooperstown and its surroundings. It's pet-friendly which made the cottage that much more attractive as we could travel with our dog. We visited in winter and the cottage was super-cozy both upstairs & downstairs. A huge bonus is the trail system that connects straight from the house up to Star Field. It's well worth the walk to take in the views of the Otsego Lake as well as the scenery in the woods and open area. Our host was a delight and made our stay an easy endeavor. The house was already warmed up for our night-time arrival and he checked in several times during our multi-day stay to make sure everything was going fine. Highly recommended and we'd definitely stay again.

Star Field Cottage is a gem. It’s nestled into beautiful surroundings, and is quiet and private, which was perfect after long days at the ball fields. Scott is super friendly and responsive. He sent a text about check in and had clear instructions for us. Shoog is a gentle giant and we were so happy to pet him…we missed our dogs and it helped! As I told Scott after we checked out, our only regret was not having enough time to hike the trail to Star Field. If we ever get the opportunity to stay in the area again, we definitely will!
