This was the very worst experience ever for any of my stays. I arrived at the given check in time and there was no answer from the doorbell. I tried knocking the door gate but nothing. I killed time for a few hours, returned later in the evening, and the same lack of response. I tried to call the phone number in the booking instructions, but message said incorrect number. By 9pm I had had enough and called Airbnb for help. They tried to contact the host but could not. What a farce. Airbnb cancelled the booking and I had to find alternative accommodation, with compensation kindly given by Airbnb. I still received no explanation or apology. Be sensible and book somewhere else if you want to be sure of a bed for the night.

Juvy was nice as a host. However, we had inconvenience during our stay. A strict caretaker was staying with us during our entire stay, watching and telling us what to & what not to do. They offer basic breakfast meal that's a bit pricey, and we decide to cook our own to save extra penny, but was surprised since we were told that there will be a charge of 200 pesos per kilo if we’re gonna cook rice for our breakfast. Kitchen was included on amenities but cooking charges wasn’t part of it. We ended buying food outside which is a bit hassle. On our first night, as we were taking a rest, an earthquake occurred however we can’t immediately go out of the building since the main gate was locked. There was no emergency escape. We paid almost P14,000 for an AirBnB accommodation. The overall the stay was ok, but I think it wasn't worth it.

Would like to thank Residencia Dara for a very comfortable stay in Tagum City. Sheela and her "angels" (Ivy, Gia, Neneng +?) for their top notch service and hospitality. They went above and beyond just to make sure our needs and request were all attended to. Our swim team rented the whole place for 4 days. The place is modern, cozy and well maintained. We couldn't ask for more. The kids had so much fun in your place and so are the parents. We couldn't thank Sheela & Ivy enough for arranging our daily local transportation for the duration of our stay. You're place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and we look forward to booking you again on our next visit to Tagum. DAGHAN SALAMAT!

This is a nice , modern , small hotel ideal for a stop-off in Tagum or for those wishing to spend a few days in this lovely provincial city. The rooms are small but clean and well appointed. Guests also have 24 hour use of the kitchen / living room area where they can watch cable TV and have a snack or drink. Breakfast to suit locals and foreigners is available at approx 180 peso. Sheela and her young female team ( including the delightful Ivy ) are very hospitable and friendly and were very kind to our team of 14 even though we turned up very late!
