Lovely setting and a well-appointed, spotless lodge. A lot of thought has gone into the experience, from the welcome pack of tea bags and 'first day' essentials, to the decent, clean and powerful shower and even the kitchen, which had superb equipment and a decent selection of cooking utensils. There is even a selection of quality, sharp knives available, which never happens in self-catering accommodation - they are always blunt! A barbeque was available too - again, quality equipment. The Ptarmigan lodge has a lovely aspect and views from it were charming. Waking up to the sight of Ben More through your bedroom window is pretty awesome as is having a sun-downer on the terrace. All in all, a really pleasant stay - full marks!!

The lodge was nice but dated in its decor. Plugs by the bed were inaccessible. Wifi was very poor and continually cut out. Water had to be heated in advance instead of there being a combi boiler. Fantastic location and some gorgeous walks.
