A somewhat different "Jamaican" than you're probably used to, but a proud Jamaican non the less ! I'm second generation Chinese and sixth generation German born in Kingston Jamaica. I've lived 7 winters in Toronto, Canada and 5 milder ones in Queens and Long Island, New York. I returned home to Jamaica over 25 years ago. Wanderlust and a passion for great food is in my DNA so I've ate my way across quite a few countries across the globe. Still travelling. Still munching. I own and operate The Blue House Boutique Bed and Breakfast, Tripadvisor's #1 B&B in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We have long been the off-the-beaten-path holiday destination for savvy travelers searching for a small, cozy Jamaica boutique hotel with a laid-back, upscale vibe and first class authentic local cuisine. Our casually chic, family run B&B has been ‘Jamaica’s Best Kept Secret’ for years and we now have a prestigious award to prove it! I love life, people and new experiences so I get a real thrill from welcoming travelers from around the world to my little corner of paradise. I love sharing the REAL Jamaica, our history, culture, politics, foods and more with our guests at our dining table, as well as, learning about their home country, culture and customs. I often tell people that I travel the world every night while seated at my dining table. Best job ever !
