We spent a wonderful week at Sophie’s Gite. From the swimming pool to fishing in the lake and the crazy golf and the boules. So much for the kids to do when not spending time in the beautiful house. The surrounding towns were lovely. Sophie recommended the market at Brou. And the boats on the river in Bonneval are a must. Sophie was so welcoming and friendly - she really helped make it a great family holiday. Thank you.

Points forts : Hôte souriante et accueillante. Piscine couverte et ouverte 24h/24h. Nombreuses activités proposées. Lieu paisible. Points faibles: LA PROPRETÉ, un manque d’hygiène trop présent. Le pédalo est trop vétuste et mériterait un entretien.

Sophie's place is lovely and peaceful and a very French holiday experience. The Git is well finished, but the whole place was dusty from cobwebs. The Kitchen was quite greasy (we had to clean it before cooking) and there was no oil or other basic condiments left for us. We were also short on toilet paper in both bathrooms. The shower downstairs is a little inconvenient, but we made it work. There are a lack of bins in the bathrooms for little items like cleansing pads etc. There is also a lack of cupboard space for any shopping you want to store. Plates, utensils, etc. are a mish-mash of old sets and with lots missing, e.g. a proper spatula. For the price, the basics should be in place and the cleaning could be a lot better. All that said, it's as peaceful and picturesque as it gets. The farm is quiet, and the pool is a real plus point. Our kids loved it. The listing specifies Wifi but don't believe it. It was very sketchy. And Sophie doesn't speak English, so brush-up on the French

Très beau séjour. Un bel Havre de paix. Parfait pour se reposer et visiter Chartres, Versailles.... Parfait pour les enfants : piscine très agréable et chaude quelque soit le temps avec des petites activités appréciables (golf, pédalo...).
