Refurbished 2-bedroom stone cottage with some original features, set in it’s own grounds at La Charpenterie, with parking, private pool and patio. Rural and peaceful setting with many places to explore, between Futuroscope and Puy du Fou. Local historic towns of St Loup sur Thouet, Airvault and Parthenay have lots to see, or wander the lanes of the Gâtine valley and enjoy rural France. Also see our special note on coronavirus special measures and extra cleaning at no extra charge. L'Ebenisterie is a newly refurbished stone cottage, sleeping 5 in two bedrooms. Two modern shower rooms (one en-suite), open plan living downstairs with kitchen, dining and log burner in the sitting room area, the cottage offers all the amenities you'll need for a superb holiday - for couples, children or an extended family. With a private west-facing patio with its own plunge pool you can enjoy the best of the beautiful Gatine valley at any time of year. The kitchen is equipped with washing machine and dishwasher, oven, microwave and all the usual amenities. If you're missing anything, we're on hand in the main house, so please ask Touring, walking or cycling, the Gatine valley is full of history, beautiful countryside and French life. Sample the wines and enjoy restaurants, from good french cuisine to 15th Century feasting. Enough of that? Then why not experience a multimedia extravaganza at Futuroscope or take in a chariot race at Puy de Fou. Something for everyone

Great Host
Nous avons passe un très bon séjour, pendant les vacances de Noël Nous avons pu faire un petit réveillon de Noël, et avons eu notre beau sapin décoré. Nous avons bien apprécié les petites attentions laissees dans le frigo pour notre arrivée. Logement au milieu de la campagne, très paisible, le petit feu était un plus agréable. Nous reviendrons.
Logement situé dans un endroit paisible, avec tout l’équipement nécessaire, une petite attention sur l’arrivée d’avoir ce qu’il faut pour le petit déjeuner et plus qu’appréciable. Je recommande l’hôte et son logement !
Très bon séjour , Endroit paisible . De nombreux jeux à disposition ( pétanque , raquette badminton …) Le plus : grand espace extérieur, au calme .
Nous avons passé une belle semaine de vacances au calme et en famille ! Avec la chaleur la piscine a été un réel plus! Loin de tout et parfait pour se ressourcer en famille !! Réellement reposant ! Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir !

Situated in rural Deux Sevres, we are ideally situated for world-class attractions of Futuroscope, Puy du Fou and the stuning castles of Saumur and the Loire valley.
Each gîte is self-contained with its own outside space, ample parking and views over the grounds and fields beyond.
Being rural, the best way to travel is by car, but once here leave the car and explore on foot or cycle. There are plenty of rural lanes, nearby villages and local towns to explore.
Fly into Nantes, La Rochelle or Poitiers or take the TGV into Poitiers if you prefer. Several car hire firms operate in the area, check sites like Expedia for an up to date list.
We are about 4 hours' drive from the channel coast ports - we tend to use Caen but other options are available. Check Brittany Ferries' website for options.
