A beautiful and well-maintained period duplex apartment in the heart of Venice - minutes away from Piazza San Marco and the ferry station (Alilaguna) to the airport. It is exactly as it's depicted. The neighbourhood is incredibly central and historic, but also quiet (without feeling unsafe) at night! Really loved living here and feeling like I lived in the heart of Venice during my stay. Luca was an incredibly helpful host - he came to meet us at the ferry station at check-in, pointed out good wine bars to check out on our way to the flat, and had stocked the kitchen with water, prosecco, and some delicious biscuits. At check-out, he was also so accommodating in accepting other payment methods for the city tax and in helping us store our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. Overall, excellent experience, would definitely recommend as a base for exploring Venice.

Alessandro and Luca are friendly and hospitable hosts. They were communicative prior to check in and provided clear and helpful directions for travel to/from the apartment and restaurant recommendations for a short stay. The apartment was simple but had all the essentials, and the location is quite good -- just a few steps away from many resistants and popular spots, but surprisingly quiet. It is conveniently close to the nearest water taxi drop off (a very short walk) which made getting to and from the train station easy. Highly recommend!

We stayed two nights in the 'Cielo' apartment. The apartment is located on the third floor in a quiet area of Sestiere Castello, but was certainly a comfortable walking distance to the major attractions and to amenities (e.g shops, pizza and gelato). Alessandro offered to send us a map after booking but unfortunately we wouldn't have been home to have received it - this would certainly have been useful as the numbering system used in Venice is different to what I am used to in Australia and Google maps doesn't give an accurate address. Nevertheless, Alessandro's brother located us in Venice and brought us to the apartment when we were lost. The space is big and set over two floors, comfortable for the two of us easily. There is aircon in the main living room and bedroom spaces, the wifi is strong throughout the house, the bathroom is big and the apartment overall was very clean. We were very happy with our stay and would certainly stay again.
