Emmaboda N · 民居里的独立房间 · 1室3床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Room in house with character
A pleasant room with view on the woods. There is variably one dubblebed or two single beds.
In the middle of the Kingdom of Glass is Boda Glasbruk, a small village that grew around the Glassworks since the end of the nineteenth century. With forests all around, a nice little lake with a swimming area within walking distance and several lakes in the surroundings, there is a lot of nature to experience. Many opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling or paddling, for example. In winter, there is also a ski slope and cross-country skiing track two miles away.
The glass factory in the village is now a museum with interesting changing exhibitions and daily glass blowing in the hotshop. Boda is known from the world-renowned designer glass brand KostaBoda.
You can breath the rich history of the Kingdom of Glass through many places where the glass tradition is kept alive; follow the glass kingdom map and discover them!
Boda Glasbruk is located right between Kalmar, Växjö and Karlskrona, three interesting cities about an hour apart. All three have a train connection with Emmaboda, which is two kilometers from Boda. There is a bus from there to Boda, but only twice a day, it is better to book the bus in "närtrafiken"; go when you want but book a day in advance.
By car, road 25 applies, which connects Kalmar with Växjö. There, Boda Glasbruk is located in the middle, one kilometer on a small country road from the 25.
All sights within the Kingdom of Glass, in terms of both nature and culture, are easily accessible through a good network of minor roads, which were once important connections between the various places.
A house with character in the heart of Småland, Sweden, a puppeteer / puppet maker / danceteacher, and a wonderfull surrounding of culture and nature. I am Anja, I'm Dutch but living in Sweden for nine years. Living in this fine old house in Boda Glasbruk, i am working with puppetry and dance, enjoying surrounding nature. I am an openminded, mature, hospitable woman with a need for play and creativity, joy and humor. As I like to share this wonderful place and also like to meet new people, the choice to open up for guests was easily made. Welcome and I hope you will feel at home!
