You couldn't have asked for a better location. So much to walk to on the days we stayed in town. The apartment is a little quirky but worked for our needs. Nice large sitting room, and the kitchen were efficient for vacationers like us. The location was very quiet. One bathroom has a large tub you have to step up and over to use, and there is no shower curtain, so watch out for water everywhere if you aren't used to this. Made it easy to decide which bedroom we were taking over our senior parents! The beds were comfortable enough but could be updated. Having a washer was especially appreciated. WiFi was strong in the rooms near the modem; we didn't really have an issue. Overall, we loved staying at this historic flat right in the heart of Bayeux.

What a fabulous airbnb! We had a wonderful stay. Communication with Marc was excellent. The apartment is beautiful, really comfortable and very charming. The location could not be better. Despite being right in the centre of town, it was very peaceful. Take care if you are driving in and out as the access to the courtyard is narrow, as is typical of such historic buildings, but we managed fine in our large suv. Marc’s restaurant recommendations were spot on; we had some very memorable meals in places he had suggested. Do book in advance as they fill up very quickly. We loved Bayeux and the warm welcome we received from everyone. It’s a lovely town to explore and the perfect base for visiting the local beaches and Dday sites. We will definitely be back!

The place has character. Tall ceilings with tasteful decorations. The unit is inside a courtyard and is very quiet at night. It’s on a busy street with lots of shops. It’s on the 2nd and the stone steps are well worn so be careful. There are 2 full bathrooms with excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. There is a private parking space in the courtyard which we needed. Marc met us out front at check in and check out. He was very responsive, flexible and gave us recommendations for restaurants. Beware most restaurants are closed on Sundays, less so on Mondays. Safe, clean with a responsive and flexible host. It’s what I wanted needed and got. Five stars all around.

Great location in heart of town. Good base to explore Normandy. If you have a car make sure it is not too big to fit into the passageway. Apartment has all amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
