Quaint and beautiful location! Darren and Lynne are very personable and accommodating. I highly recommend a massage with Jackson at the on-site Spa! The two hot tubs were very relaxing and the river view from the deck was peaceful. We slept well to the sound of the river! It was a perfect getaway for us. We hiked the Long Trail to Jay Peak which was a moderate/difficult hike for us but the massages helped us heal our bodies! Would definitely recommend!
The Trout River Suite is special little spot to stay. My husband and I enjoyed having our own apartment, while enjoying the amenities that came with staying at a B&B. The hot tub was so relaxing after a hard day of skiing, the provided snacks were great to eat on the mountain, and the beer cooler was a refreshing oasis upon our return from the mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway. Breakfast was good too! I enjoyed having the option of ordering eggs, if you’re not in the mood for whatever delicious entree is provided. It was hard to leave!

This is the cutest little B&B. The owner stayed up late to greet us and check us in, and the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. There were lots of thoughtful touches in the suite (fresh chocolate chip cookies, treats for the dog, games and dvds, awesomely thick robes, etc). Our suite was right on the river with a deck which was gorgeous and peaceful. It’s hard to find pet friendly accommodations that also luxurious, and this place is just that . Also breakfast is delicious.
Darren greeted us upon arrival and he took the time to give us a thorough tour of the place. We enjoyed the close proximity to skiing and restaurants. The hot tub was amazing (even in 10 degree weather) and breakfast was wonderful. We appreciated the special touches to make our pup feel welcome too. We would stay again!

Lynne & Darren have owned the Phineas Swann Bed & Breakfast since 2013. Lynne worked in logistics and Darren is an author and former newspaperman. They have four children living in Atlanta, Philadelphia & Salt Lake City. They also have a feisty shitzu Maple, who serves as Morale Officer at the Phineas Swann. We firmly believe that staying at a REAL B&B is far superior and safer than any other option on AirBnB. We hope you'll try us out and discover we're right!
