Christine is an amazing host: very hospitable, quick to respond and easy-going. The house is very nice and spacious and the surroundings are really beautiful. Highly recommend!

We rented the house for 38 days so we can say a lot about how it is staying here. First of all, Christine was very attentive and greeted us very well, she even bought a coloring book for a younger visitor. The house looked better than it had in the pictures, and we were positively surprised by the installation of the internet during the renting. The house is located in a very good location, close to the Port Jefferson Marine, pharmacy and groceries store. However, the exit/entrance is very dangerous and during the night it is very dark, so you'll need cautions when entering and exiting the house. During our stay, we were surprised by the multiple visits of the owners to the location, which we were not expecting. We were only expecting the grass maintenance, as it was mentioned in the policy. Here, it was also expected that the person cutting the grass (the husband) could enter for use of the bathroom and water, even though they were a few minutes away from their home. In one instance, we felt uncomfortable because they entered the house without letting us know and moved stuff around it. We weren't sure if we had been robbed and became scared leaving possessions in the home. Their property also hosts boats, so sometimes there were unknown people that entered the property in the backyard. We felt uncomfortable with this. Some negative aspects of our stay are that we felt supervised most of the time, she kept asking and checking about the cleaning, garbage, lights, etc. We would have enjoyed our visit more had we been allowed more privacy. At the end of the renting, 6 adults spent multiple hours cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and vacuuming. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as it was stated that after the end of the stay she needed to spent the whole day cleaning the house. We had up's and downs. Overall, it was ok but it could have been better for the large amount of money that was spent.

Charming home close to everything. Very clean and neat. Christine was very accommodating for our needs. I definitely recommend staying here! Love the antique furniture in the home, even the kitchen. Again, such a charming place to stay!!

Christine's place was perfect for the birthday weekend getaway that my wife and I were looking for. Charming, spacious, and well-stocked, this house is in a great location near many shops and beaches but set back from the road so that it offers peace and quiet. Christine was a wonderful host and a pleasure to meet. She was quick to reply, warm and professional, and was communicative throughout our stay. A joy overall. We look forward to the chance to stay again and recommend to all.

Great location for traveling back and forth to Port Jefferson and the surrounding area. Nice open floor plan between the living room and dinning room.
