It was a very interesting stay with Jusif! When you know russian, he can tell you everything about the german heritage of the region! His knowledge is very deep! His son‘s daughter knows some german and is very nice! It was hard to find the place. It’s on the main road, number one five nine. Accommodation is not at his place, it’s at a friend’s home, a little bit east from the center. His place is very clean and beautiful with garden, yard and in a quiet area. We enjoyed the stay with that friend (Ramis) and his family! Jusif also registered us with auerbaijani authorities, as this were our first nights in Azerbaijan and we are planning to stay longer than 10 days in the country. That was very helpful! BUT: be aware that Jusif will charge you for every little extra that is not agreed on airbnb! Parking a motorbike in the big private yard was an extra, for dinner he charged 15$ per person extra, his (very interesting!) excursion was 20$ extra etc.! So before you have a bite or get out with him, agree on a price! He does a very good job and took us to places we had never seen without him and we really enjoyed our stay, just asking for well overpriced money afterwards is unfair and has nothing to do with Airbnb spirit and hospitality... We believe that his friend Ramis, who really hosted us, did not know all about it. So for a real homestay and lots of interesting things around german heritage, I can really recommend it!!! Just talk about money all the time to avoid disappointment.
