If you like to stay in a 150 year-old farmhouse, and all that entails, this is the place for you. It is in a beautiful country setting. A few things were not as described. One spot in the listing stated there was a dishwasher; another said there was not. (There wasn't, unless you count my husband. :-) Even though they didn't mention it, there was a shower which was nice. If you're a coffee lover, make sure to take some along. Our host left us a welcome gift of large basket of apples and bananas, as well as a squash and a turnip. Other things that weren't mentioned was: a firepit, and a shed with a second story that had a bank of windows looking out over the country-side. From comfy chairs, we watched the sunrise and a storm from our inside location.

This older ranch house is in a rural , serene location with great views of the surrounding farmland, and we found it a great place to stay, 5 of us stayed for 3 nites and found it a very relaxing , we prepared breakfast and our evening meals there, we sat out on the veranda til dark and saw deer, bear and other critters, easy access to nearby centres, Anne was easy to communicate with easy check in , the place was clean the beds were comfortable , it’s a place that makes you want to come back.

My family had a nice visit at the Gillespie’s farm house. Ann was very welcoming and answered our many questions. My two grandsons enjoyed hearing the history of the farm. We enjoyed the roomy dining room where the family gathered for our meals, and the wonderful old fashioned porch where we played many games. We also enjoyed exploring the town of Grand Falls.The zip lining over the Falls was a big hit with the family. All in all we would be happy to stay at this wonderful old farm house again when we return to Canada for a vacation. Parise Payton and her family.
