If you have your bikes with you or rent some in Oppdal, the tour around Skarvatnet is a great option and can be extended towards Nerskogen and Granasjøen. The cabin owner has a small boat that can be used for trips on the lake. In winter there are great opportunities for ice fishing. If you want to go to Dovrefjell to meet exciting wildlife, guided tours are arranged from Oppdal. Oppdal is the center of the municipality.
